I don’t know about your Sims, but most of mine like to stay fit. Problem is, not all of them like to push weights on a benchpress, and others think that going jogging or running on a treadmill is mind-numbingly boring. Of course, for Sim kids the options are even more limited. So what’s a Sim to do if he wants to increase his body skill without being bored out of his pixel skull?

Why, get a trampoline, of course! πŸ™‚

With this animated one-tile trampoline, your Sims will gain body skill and have fun at the same time – and of course they’ll also get fitter through the experience. If you have Free Time, they will gain Fitness enthusiasm as well. Before they start bouncing, they will automatically change into athletic wear, and they’ll change back into everyday clothes when they’re finished.

Sims with low body skill will just jump up and down, but once they have three body skill points, they’ll be able to do back flips, like this:

And once Sims are skilled enough to do flips, they’re also skilled enough to teach other Sims how to do it and can offer lessons to Sims with less body skill. πŸ˜€ All Sims can teach – even children. If the kid in the family is the best bouncer, to me it only makes sense that he or she or she should be able to teach Sims who aren’t as good at it.

Teachin' the old man how to do it
If your Sims are the kind who like to watch other Sims work but aren’t as keen on doing any work themselves, they have the option to look on and cheer when another Sim is bouncing. The watching Sim won’t gain any body skill or enthusiasm since they aren’t actually doing anything, but at least they’ll have fun and be social.

You go, girl!
The Sim Bouncer can be used outdoors as well as indoors, and it’s also available on community lots in case you want some trampolines in your community gym. (BTW, if you are setting up a community gym, I really, really recommend getting Pescado’s Community Lot Skilling and Enthusiasm fix from MATY if you don’t have it already.)

If you have Seasons, Sims will not get warm when using this trampoline. This is by design; I want both kids and adults to be able to use it with impunity, and I also don’t want your poor Sim parents have their little Simlet get whisked away by the Social Worker just because the kid decided to sneak off and do some autonomous bouncing when they weren’t looking. (Of course, if your Sims are trampolining outside in the middle of summer, they can get heat stroke anyway – but then it will be from being too long in the sun, not from excessive trampolining.)

The Sim Bouncer comes with ten recols for the frame and five for the fabric, including the plain black one shown in the frame previews:

Note: If you place the Sim Bouncer next to a wall, the frame clips into the wall a little – but then why would you place a trampoline next to a wall? (Seems dangerous to me.) But if you absolutely insist on having a wall right next to it, then you’ll either just have to live with the clipping, or move the trampoline a smidgen farther away from the wall with snapobjectstogrid false or the M&G quartertile cheat.

    • Thanks! πŸ˜€ I know that maAlet has a trampoline over at Affinity (in my defence, though, I didn’t know about hers until I was halfway through mine), but I think this one is different enough from hers that they can co-exist in peace. πŸ™‚

  1. πŸ˜€ Can’t wait to use it! (Sorry, I luvs ya, but it took me 2 days to figure out what was causing my game to crash and I NEED to build.. so the trampoline will just have to wait!)

Nah, just kidding. ♥ The trampoline will still be there when you get your downloads straightened out, I promise. πŸ™‚ I know what a huge pain it is to have to do that, esp. if you have a large Downloads folder. *huggles MLC*

    • Actually… this was cloned from a three-tile sofa, too (they’ve already got all the morphs and anims) – but I did a leetle more than just clone it and call it a day. πŸ˜‰ I’ve been working of this for more than a year, but I fell out of love with it for a while when I couldn’t get the Sims to sit down where I wanted when they had finished bouncing (they ended up inside the trampoline, not on the edge). But I started fiddling with it again a month or so ago, and realised what the problem was: the Sims weren’t snapping into a container slot when sitting down, like I had though (and had been moving around like crazy), they were snapping into a routing slot. And then the world was suddenly filled with puppies and rainbows. πŸ˜‰

        • Oh, I did break it several times, and I came this >< close to shelving it for good. It was on the backburner for a looong time, but thankfully the people at got me going again. πŸ™‚

  2. OMG! I can’t believe it’s finally finished, congrats on a job very well done, looks amazing.

    • Thanks!! I know, I can’t believe it, either. πŸ˜‰ I’m almost feeling a little forlorn; I mean, now what am I supposed to do with my time? 😦 (I guess I could look into some of those other other projects I’ve got going… yeah, I might do that. πŸ˜› )

  3. WordPress hates me :P. But I hate them back – despite that I have recovered my password etc etc etc to say what an awesome object this is. Thank you for making it.

    • Bad WordPress! No cookie! πŸ˜› But aww, thank you! πŸ˜€ If it hadn’t been for the Leefish crowd, I don’t think I’d ever have finished this.

    • Glad to hear it! πŸ˜€ Not that I’m in any way impartial, but I really like having another option for Simlets to build body skill and fitness. Jumping rope is all well and good, but my Sim kids bore easily and want variation. πŸ˜‰

  4. I just spotted this while looking at the fitness mat. I DLed this ages ago, but never commented on it. Now that I’ve made a few things myself I appreciate comments more, so thanks! This is one of the few fitness options that actually looks fun to do.

If I was any good at meshing I’d so try and make a big one that multiple sims could jump on, but alas ’tis not my forte. XD

    • Thank you! Comments are always very welcome. πŸ™‚ I can tell which links my visitors have clicked from my visitor stats, so I know people download my things even if they don’t say anything about it, but it still means a lot when somebody takes the time to leave a comment. Gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling every time. ❀

Making a trampoline for several Sims is something I've considered, but that's all I've done so far. Making one for two Sims isn't a problem, but four or more… then it's a whole different kind of worms that I'm not quite brave enough to try to open. :/

      • Two would be just right. I remember from my trampolining days that more than two kids usually ended up bumping into each other. XD

  5. Love this trampoline, Nix! I had it in my previous computer’s game and have been wanting to download it again for my new puter’s game. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. BIG HUG! ❀

    • Aww, thank you, Sugah! ❀ This is a personal favourite of mine, almost all households in my modern 'hoods have at least one. πŸ™‚

And thank you for downloading and commenting! It means the world to me!
