This is one of those things that just popped into my head and demanded to be made. So I made it. 🙂
If you think the fellow inside the snow globe looks an awful lot like Funky the Snowman from the Happy Holidays SP, then you’re absolutely right: it is Funky the Snowman. I wanted to make a snow globe (because I like snow globes, almost as much as I like lamps) and thought a small version of Funky would look really cute. So I scaled him down and stuck him inside.
But then I started thinking. (I know, I shouldn’t do that. 😛 ) Big Funky is animated, right? Meaning that little Funky is rigged for animation, too, right? Meaning I just need to tweak the animations a bit and he should be good to go… right?
So I tweaked some animations here and moved some joints there, and… well, this was the result:
As you can see, Funky doesn’t dance all the time; he’s a polite little fellow and won’t start moving until you tell him to. 😀 And then he keeps going until you tell him it’s enough already (hence the click-on-menu sounds in the video).
Of course, there are recols, too: three for Little Funky (who isn’t repositoried to Big Funky, BTW, because I’ve remapped and retextured the scarf) and four for the snow globe foot.

A snow globe shop, what a great idea! 🙂 Have you seen my other snow globes? I’ve got one here (it’s at the bottom of the post) and another one here. (I’m probably going to update the second one soonish, though, to make the globe and the foot smoother and rounder. When I made it back in 2012, I was afraid of posting anything that might possibly be considered having a high-ish poly count. I’ve since lost all inhibitions in that respect. 😛 ) Just in case you need more for your shop.

Thanks! Glad you like him. 😀 At first I was going to have him dance all the time, but I decided players should get to choose whether he danced or not. Some might be perfectly happy with him just standing still, looking cute. 🙂
