Five Sims

zOMG Sims!

“Um, Nix?” I hear you say. “What are you doing? You don’t make Sims; you make stuff for Sims.” And right you are, for the longest time, I didn’t make Sims other than for my own game (and those Sims usually just looked like a blend between Face 1 and Face 2, because, well, that’s exactly what they were πŸ˜› ). But then, a few months back, I made a decision to change the way I play my main game – that is, my contemporary game with all the Maxis ‘hoods and premades. For one thing, I decided to go fully Maxis Match with it; I’ve always preferred the Maxis look to super-realistic, photoskinned ones, but even so my game had been a mix of Maxis, semi-realistic and realistic stuff, and I wasn’t really happy about it. So Maxis Match all the way it was. I also decided to put much more effort into my Sim-making, and try to give my Sims more varied features (and downloaded a ton of new non-default face templates to help me) instead of just slapping different skin tones and hairs on what was basically the same Sim over and over, like I’d been doing thus far.

And these five Sims are the result of this revival.  πŸ˜€ (Well, not just these five, but these are the ones I like well enough to upload, anyway.)

Before we start. As you can see from the Clean Installer previews, I’m one of those people who remove special characters and spaces from all file names, so there is a chance already have some of the CC included with these Sims but with slightly different file names. Just so you’re aware of this when you install these Sims, and are on the lookout so you don’t end up with a lot of unnecessary duplicates in your Downloads folder. πŸ™‚

All of the Sims are adults.

First, we have Darren:

Then, there’s Kendra:

Followed by Linda:

. . . Russell:

. . . and finally, Xanthe:

All five Sims are in the same .zip file below, but each one is in his or her own folder. For all of them, I’ve included the eyebrows, just to be on the safe side; I’ve had it happen more than once with other people’s Sims that, when they’ve used unbinned eyebrows with binned hair (like I’ve done with my Sims), the eyebrows haven’t packaged properly, even though it looks like they have in Clean Installer. There’s a good chance you won’t need them, but just in case your Sim appears eye brow-less, I don’t want you to have to go searching for the right brows all over the Internet.  πŸ˜‰

For the lady Sims, I’ve also included the nail mesh, since accessory meshes don’t package with the Sim for some reason I’m sure Maxis thought was a good one at the time.  πŸ˜›

  1. This is so exciting! I can’t wait to get these simmies into my game. You are one of my most trusted creators, everything you produce is so reliable. I have one question, what is fully Maxis Match?

  2. Cute Simmies ready to play! I am so happy that there are people still creating for S2. I play S3 vanilla, haven’t really got far into S4, but I have a bazzilion downloads for S2 and always looking for more temptations.

    • Glad you like them! πŸ˜€ And I’ll be creating for TS2 until I’m too old and decrepit to be on the computer – or until a Windows update finally renders it totally unplayable, whichever comes first. (Then again, the latter is what hard drive partitions are for…)

I’ve actually never played TS3 or TS4; I can’t stand the way Sims look in TS3, and even though I like the look of TS4 Sims a lot better, I’ve never felt the need to try it. I’m perfectly happy with TS2. πŸ™‚
